Where is the serial number on my golf club?
For metalwoods (Drivers / Fairways / Hybrids), the serial number can be found in one of three places on the sole. Adjustable metalwoods have the serial number in or around the pocket that contains the hosel screw while non-adjustable metalwoods will have a serial number on the hosel or along the sole near the heel of the club.
For iron and combo sets, only one club in the set will have a serial number and it will be found on the back of the hosel of the 6 or 8 iron.
For individual wedges, the serial number can be found on the back of the hosel.
What if my club does not have a serial number?
No need to panic. COBRA clubs are occasionally manufactured without a serial number. As long as you purchased your club at an authorized COBRA dealer, you should have no concerns about whether your club has a serial number or not. If the product you are registering does not have a serial number, just enter the product's style number or provide a short description of the product. Like all major purchases, it is a good idea to keep a copy of your purchase receipt in the event that a service request is needed.
How do I know if my clubs are authentic and not counterfeit?
Counterfeiting clubs is a very big business and something that affects all the major golf manufacturers.
With that said, the best way to ensure that you own an authentic COBRA product is to purchase it at an authorized COBRA fitter. If you purchase it second hand, from an auction website or through some other unauthorized retailer, we can not confirm the authenticity of that COBRA product without a visual inspection. You can find your nearest authorized COBRA fitter here.
If you still suspect you have a counterfeit club, or you want to ensure that your club is authentic, you are welcome to set up a visual inspection through our Customer Care Team. Just call us at (800) 917-3300.
